This isn’t just Jiu Jitsu… It’s your Jiu Jitsu.
At Archetype, we believe that each individual’s journey in Jiu Jitsu is unique. And while we all may share the same passion for the art, we also develop our own style and approach to how we practice it. Our goal is to help each person discover Jiu Jitsu in a way that best fits their personality, lifestyle, and body, so they can express themselves through the art of Jiu Jitsu.
The movements and technique of the Sorcerer defy all logic. As they appear to teleport to your back, levitate you for a leg entry, and shape shift past your guard, you will leave every round feeling like it’s nothing short of magic.

With the gravity of a neutron star and the base of an old oak tree, the Titan is an immovable object and unstoppable force. The Titan’s crushing pressure and vice-like squeeze will make you fight for every millimeter of space. And though you may resist with all your might, you know that the inevitable is coming: Smash. Pass. Smother. Submit.

The Technician has built their jiu-jitsu around one core principle: Accuracy. Every grip is intentional, and every movement serves a purpose. The Technician understands that the details matter and refines their jiu-jitsu accordingly. Make one wrong move, and the Technician will use it against you.

Young and scrappy, the Whirlwind will wear you down. Toreandos, duck unders, and leg drags, are all chained together with lightning speed. The scrambles feel never-ending, and their cardio is bottomless. Rounds with the Whirlwind are rarely won; they are only endured.

An unassuming character, quiet, and polite, the Samurai lives for jiu-jitsu. Silently studying their craft and honing their skills, the Samurai’s calm demeanor and respectful nature will mislead you into thinking that they’ll be an easy opponent. But don’t be fooled. The Samurai is a silent submission hunter.

The Sage has been there and seen that. They’re old enough to be your parent and wise enough to handle anything you throw at them. Their grips feel unbreakable, their half guard, impassable. Your speed and athleticism mean nothing. Decades on the mat have honed their use of fundamentals to perfection. The Sage demonstrates that nothing beats age and wisdom.
