Thanks for booking
Here’s what to expect during your visit to Archetype Jiu Jitsu.
We understand that joining a new Jiu Jitsu community can feel a bit overwhelming, but our coaches, staff, and community members are here to help guide you.
Here is what you can expect during your first visit.
CLASS STRUCTURE
All of our classes at Archetype Jiu Jitsu are designed to help build your skills from beginner to advanced.
Class starts with a short series of low impact movements to get warmed up. After warm ups, you will be guided through the daily technique by one of our extremely knowledgeable coaches and given the opportunity to practice along with a training partner.
Once the technique portion of class ends, the coach will open up the mats for live sparring. While you are never required to participate in sparring rounds, should you decide that you are comfortable enough to try, you will be partnered with either a coach, or one of our more advanced students that will be happy to help guide you.
WHAT TO BRING.
During your free trial period at Archetype Jiu Jitsu, you will be required to train in a traditional Gi (or Kimono). But don’t worry if you don’t already have one. We will provide you with a loaner Gi during your visit at no additional cost.
All you need to bring with you is a water bottle, and a pair of sandals or shoes that are easy to slip on and off. We will provide the rest!
ARRIVAL TIME
We ask that you arrive for your trial class 15 minutes early in order to fill out your waiver, have a short tour of the facility, and get fitted for your Gi.
